Why does GTA Connected keep freezing randomly even when my game runs fine offlin

I have been trying to play GTA Connected with San Andreas and sometimes GTA IV, and the weird thing is that the base game runs completely fine in single player with no lag or crashes at all. But as soon as I launch through GTA Connected and join a server, I start getting random freezes after a few minutes of gameplay. Sometimes it recovers after a few seconds, but other times it just hangs and I have to close it completely.

I already tried lowering graphics settings, running as admin, and even reinstalling both the game and the client, but the issue still comes back. It does not seem like a hardware problem since everything else runs smoothly, so I am wondering if it is something related to server sync, mods, or maybe background processes interfering.

Has anyone here dealt with this kind of freezing specifically in GTA Connected and found a proper fix or at least narrowed down the cause?

Also this might sound off topic, but while troubleshooting and reinstalling things I was making a small online payment and got stuck because I could not quickly check my FAB bank balance in time, so if anyone happens to know a fast way to check it without going through the full login flow that would actually help me avoid that kind of interruption again.

That kind of freezing in GTA Connected is often tied more to the multiplayer client itself than the actual game. If single player works perfectly but freezes start only after joining servers, there's a good chance it's related to sync issues, conflicting mods, or even background overlays. Discord overlay, MSI Afterburner, old ENB files, and some antivirus software have caused similar problems for people before.

One thing that helped me with San Andreas multiplayer mods years ago was starting with a completely clean game folder with no extra CLEO mods or texture packs at all. GTA Connected can be pretty sensitive to leftover files even when the base game still runs fine offline. Also try switching servers because some servers with heavy scripts or poor sync handling can trigger random hangs even on decent hardware.

Another thing worth checking is whether the client is using the dedicated GPU properly. On some systems it defaults strangely once multiplayer launches.

About the FAB balance part, I know exactly what you mean because timing out during payments is annoying. If you just need a quick way to verify your salary card balance without digging through the full app login every time, this ratibi balance check number guide is actually pretty handy: ratibi balance check number. It explains the faster balance inquiry methods people in the UAE use when they only need a quick confirmation before paying online.

For the game itself though, I'd start by testing with a totally fresh install plus no overlays running in the background. That usually narrows the issue down pretty quickly.
